Fulham Palace - one venue, many faces

It's been a busy summer of weddings here at Fulham Palace where Bovingdons are the caterers. There are many galleries to choose from but I just had to share these wonderful photos of the palace's courtyards as captured by the wonderful Jo Hughes of The Art of Weddings http://blog.theartofweddings.co.uk

Red Tudor brick makes for a stunning entrance and the fountains add to the music. The long garden lawns point towards the palaces Georgian fascia, a totally different look. Then finally, the walled garden contains a modern, clear sided marquee. Many courtyards, many eras, many interesting and beautiful backdrops for wedding photographs.

A Magnificent Family Day in the Meadow

Photos from a magnificent event for a client of Stratagem Events held in the walled gardens and meadows of Fulham Palace. Truly a company who know how to make the most of a magnificent space in such magnificent weather.

Using a bespoke approach to managing events at Fulham Palace means that both clients and event organiser leave happy as larry. The day runs smoothly (yes we were even prepared for wet weather) and clients get to enjoy a truly fabulous and incredibly central London venue with excellent transport links.

Fulham Palace Conference

Here's a great example how we were able to help an organisation make the most of the varied spaces and impressive rooms when they held their conference at Fulham Palace.

The European Investment Bank used Fuham Palace as the location for their fascinating conference entitled Innovative Financing of Cultural Heritage. The subject of the conference made Fulham Palace (established in 704) an even more appropriate venue.

  - The Tudor Courtyard is an excellent backdrop for the filmed interviews by the ShortFilm Company (exert below)
  - The impressive Great Hall works as the main presentation room
  - The Bishops rooms for breakout areas
  - The Walled Garden Marquee for lunch and networking

"The best corporate function I have ever attended"

Photos soon, in the meantime, here are some thank you letters from one of our corporate clients who held their anniversary event at Westminster Abbey Gardens last week...

Hi Julie

I wanted to say a huge thank you for everything last night. Feedback from guests has been excellent. So many people sought me out to thank me last night. Everyone commented on the food, the drinks, the service, the immaculately turned out waiting staff, the flowers, even the loos!

The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, which is just what we wanted.

I’ve attached just a couple of the notes received this morning, I think they speak for themselves.

I’m sure I’ll be in touch again for the next shindig, but it’s going to be hard to top that!

Thanks again.

J

And here are some of the thank you letters SHE received from her guests!

July Big Picture

The recent wet weather had a dramatic and rather beautiful impact on the marquee of one of our favourite venues Fulham Palace.

Your ideas made a huge difference...

The marquee at Fulham Palace full of people fundraising for the F.R.O.D.O. children's charity event.

Dear Julie,

Your team did the most wonderful job last night for our event.  Tony was terrific.  All the staff looked great and were so professional. The food was (as I already knew!) delicious.

I cannot begin to thank you enough, however, for your creativity, wise advice and generosity.  All of your ideas made a huge difference - the room looked amazing with the bowls of fruit (scavenged  by guests as they left!) and the coloured napkins, the different flavoured champagne cocktails went down a treat, the games all worked really well and everything contributed to the guests having a hugely enjoyable.

We shall be singing the praises of Bovingdons for a long time.  And I can't wait for another opportunity to work with you.

Thank you so much.

Here are some photographs of one such fabulous wedding we managed recently for Wedding Day magazine Style Editor Victoria Sullivan. Her kind words arrived in the post today in addition to her post-wedding email that said "Bovingdons, not any caterer but the best caterer you can have on your wedding day".

Keep checking back to this blog and I will upload her article from this month's magazine, more photos and the menu from the big day...
